1:1 Implementation Workshop with Maura.
This workshop was excellent, and touched upon many of the things that we have been thinking about. Here are a few of the ideas that Maura shared, no particular order, but all important.
Workflow should be thought about before the new year begins. Also, how and where the devices will be stored. Organization. File cabinets have been used smoothly by some. She also got into how People's Academy deals with personal devices brought from home, and how schools can manage these. People's Academy has zones. Lunch room is free for everything, so many students break out their personal devices then for music, social media, communicating with folks outside the school, etc.. Launch is very important, smooth communication and involving families is crucial.
